I have a very bad nail bitting habit. My 12 year old saw my fingers were bleeding and that started the discussion of my nail bitting habit. My daughter actually found this book and I purchased it.
This book is VERY well written. I read the entire thing. I used the tools it gave me. After 1 week it was working well but I started wanting to do my ritual of bitting again within 2 weeks.
I was hopeful I could contact the website in the back of the book. The author says to keep in touch. I tried going to the website and it no longer exist. This is sad because I was hoping on getting info or connecting with other nail bitters. If the Author reads this please let me know if there is some other website or tool I can use. I'm still trying.

I believe these steps will be helpful to my granddaughter who suffers the damage to her self-esteem from nail picking. She has tried many things; bandaids, gloves, hands in pockets, etc. to no success.
I have observed the investigative looking phase many times, followed by the grooming attempts.

Simple, but effective. I've had trouble with this my whole life and this is the best thing I've ever tried. Before, I had to do a nail coating, but found the sanding and chemicals are hard on my nails and the maintenance was pricey. Now, in less than two months, I have nice natural nails! I can't say the author will win any literary awards and I skimmed over parts of the book, but this method works! It was worth the $2.
